Why do I always think too much?

Why do I always think too much?

Always thinking too much and being unable to stop is not just a quick brain, it often involves an overworked emotional warning system and a high sensitivity to mistakes and uncertainty.

Thinking too much is not just about strong thinking ability

Many people summarize themselves as "can't stop thinking". But thinking too much doesn’t mean being smart, nor does it mean fast information processing. What is really tiring is that thinking cannot be ended, judgment cannot be implemented, emotions and analysis are mixed together, and finally it becomes a continuous internal friction.

What you need to look at in astrology is not just whether Mercury is strong, but how Mercury is connected with the moon, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and the structure of the sixth and third houses.

A strong Mercury indicates that the brain is active, and a tense Mercury makes it easy to over-circulate.

People with strong Mercury usually observe quickly, associate quickly, express quickly, and capture information quickly. This in itself is ability, not a problem. The problem often lies in that when Mercury is suppressed by Saturn, it is easy to make repeated corrections and is afraid of making mistakes; when it is caught by Neptune, it is easy to circle in a blur; when it is ignited by Uranus, it is easy to jump too fast in the brain and cannot rest.

So don't simply translate "Mercury is strong" as "thinking too much". What really matters is the working environment at Mercury.

The Moon and Sixth House Will Tell You Why Thinking Becomes an Early Warning System

Some people do not love analysis, but rely on analysis to survive. If the moon is highly sensitive to uncertainty for a long time, or the structure of the sixth house is strong, the brain will automatically regard many things as risks that need to be dealt with in advance. You are not thinking freely, but you are constantly clearing mines, anticipating, and rehearsing bad results.

The so-called thinking too much at this time is actually the emotional system using the brain to work.

The difference between analytical ability and internal friction lies in whether it can be restrained

Good analysis will become clearer and clearer, while internal friction will become more and more scattered. Good analysis can produce judgments, priorities and next steps, but internal friction will only create more branches, more worries and more unconfirmed details.

If you are always collecting information but still unable to take action, it means that the problem is no longer at the intellectual level, but at the regulatory system level.

Don’t rush to suppress your thinking, first see what it can help you prevent.

Many people who overthink start by trying to stop themselves from thinking. But the reason why thinking can't stop is usually because it has a protective function. It prevents mistakes, embarrassment, loss of control, denial, and sudden changes.

Where astrology can really help is in seeing this layer of protection. As long as you don't recognize what it's guarding against, your mind won't stop easily.

Back to the disk, first dismantle the two layers of information processing and emotional warning.

Let’s look at Mercury and its aspects first, and then look at how the Moon, Sixth House, Third House, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus intervene. Then check with reality: Do you think too much before important decisions, or can't you stop at almost any little thing? Are you more afraid of making mistakes or being uncertain?

Only by breaking down "I will think" into "Why can't I stop" will you really start to shift from internal friction to judgment.
