In the precision period, it is easiest to have a sense of events, decisions or awareness of problems. In the exit period, it is sorting out and implementing. When the outer planet is retrograde, the same point may be triggered three times, resulting in the first appearance, the second review, and the third finalization.

This is why judging the passing of time depends on the time window, rather than just looking at a certain day. Really important changes often have foreshadowing, reversal, and conclusion.

You can look at related windows and stress topics, but you can't rely on just one transit to assert the results. The fleeting time is a map of time, not a command.

Transit astrology reads the present by locating which moving planet is contacting which natal function, through which sign and house, with what speed and aspect. A slow planet can define a long-term theme; a fast planet can activate a short window inside it. The natal condition sets the baseline, while the transit describes pressure, opportunity, or timing for a response. Do not ask which planet is retrograde today in isolation. Record transit planet, natal target, sign, house, ruler, aspect, speed, station, exact and separating dates, concrete question, action, result, and review. Verify the ephemeris and birth time; if time is uncertain, downgrade houses and angles. Observe one work scene and one personal scene before generalizing the theme.
