What does cold, warmth, dryness and dampness adjust?
This article is not about supplementing the five elements, but about whether the climate of the entire plate is suitable for operation. Too cold, too hot, too dry, or too wet will make the structure unusable.
How to look at the four climate imbalances

How to combine it with the five elements?
Temperature adjustment cannot be separated from the five elements, nor can it only focus on the quantity of the five elements. First look at the weather, and then look at which type of force can best bring the disk back to a usable state.
Cold, warm, dry and damp depends on operability
Even if the strength of a disk looks good, it may not be useful because it is too cold, too dry, too wet, or too hot. Similarly, excessive cold will have different effects on different day masters; similarly excessive dryness will have different effects due to different structures. It depends on whether the day master can withstand this kind of weather and whether there is strength in the chart to regulate it. If the climate does not return to the sun, it will become a general description of the environment.
In reality, it’s the choice of rhythm and environment
Cold, warmth and dryness can translate into life rhythm, work environment, recovery style, speed of movement and stress management. For example, people who are too dry may not be "dehydrated" but may need more stable rest and buffering; people who are too cold may need a clearer starting mechanism.
Climate terms refine function when the chart needs them
Cold, warm, dry, and wet are not decorative adjectives. In traditions that use climate adjustment, they help explain why an element that is technically present may fail to move, or why a seemingly difficult interaction may restore a needed condition. Climate should not be inserted into every reading mechanically. First identify the chart’s primary structural issue, then ask whether temperature or moisture changes the ability of the relevant element to function. A climate observation is useful when it leads to a concrete difference in expression—such as activity versus stagnation, visibility versus concealment, or accumulation versus flow—not when it becomes another label detached from the person’s question.
Worked example: the same Water can cool or deepen the problem
Consider a fictional chart with intense Fire and little Water. A measured Water influence may reduce heat and create a route for information or reflection, but if the chart is already cold and damp, adding more Water could increase hesitation or delay. The reader should therefore record season, roots, the day master, and the actual topic before calling Water helpful. In a work question, the useful expression may be a research process that turns into a decision; in a relationship question, it may be a conversation that lowers reactivity without avoiding the issue. If the proposed climate adjustment cannot be linked to an observable change, it should remain a low-confidence hypothesis.
Climate is a conditional refinement
Do not let climate language outrank the chart’s main question. If cold, heat, dryness, or dampness explains why a structure cannot connect, state that connection explicitly and name the alternative condition. For example, “more Water” is not an instruction until the reader explains whether Water cools excess heat, deepens cold, or creates a route for information. The verification is a change in rhythm, output, or recovery that can be observed—not a guarantee that a particular year will produce an event. Keep the climate hypothesis subordinate to structure and reality.
Verification and boundary: climate must remain a hypothesis
Verify a climate reading only through a concrete change in rhythm, recovery, expression, or connection that can be observed without forcing the story. If the proposed adjustment creates a new problem, preserve that counterevidence. Climate language cannot diagnose a medical condition, prescribe food or supplements, or tell someone to take a financial, legal, or safety risk. Use it as a refinement of chart structure, then defer consequential decisions to qualified evidence.
