Being dry means that a certain power is brought to the fore, making it easier to participate in judgment and interaction. Hidden and revealed have different pronunciations.

Roots, possessions, and penetration must be looked at together to determine whether a certain five elements are "in name only" or "really present." This step often determines the strength, weakness, preferences and taboos that follow.

Having a root means that the power has a landing point, but the root has depth, distance, whether it is impacted, whether it is combined, and whether it is ordered. A distant, impinged root has completely different powers than a sitting, strong root. When reading Tonggen, you should not just ask whether it exists, but also where the root is, whether it is stable, and whether it can be used.

The earthly branches and Tibetan stems are divided into main qi, middle qi and residual qi. Not every Tibetan stem participates in equal amounts. When making judgments, you need to look at which qi is the most dominant, which qi is just potential information, and which qi becomes obvious due to leakage or being induced by the movement of the year. Hiding does not mean that it does not exist, but it does not mean that it will take action immediately.

The power of dryness is easier to see and more accessible to events, expressions and external feedback. But if it is transparent but has no roots, it may appear to be in name only; if it is hidden but not transparent, it may have underlying tendencies but may not necessarily appear outwardly. Only by checking each other through and root can we judge the true and false.

To use God, you cannot find it out of thin air. You must see whether the power is real or not. A certain five element seems to be suitable for use as a god, but if it is completely rootless and difficult to activate, the actual usability will be low. Conversely, a certain power that is deeply hidden but deeply rooted may suddenly become critical at the right stage.

The revelation of the heavenly stems only appears on the surface, and the roots of the earthly branches show that this power has a base. Heavenly stems without roots are easy to float, but the power of roots can continue to affect the disk. When making a judgment, you can't just look at whether there are any words in the Tiangan.

The earthly branches are not just a single five elements, there are hidden stems in them. Zanggan explains which forces are hidden within an earthly branch, which ones may be induced, and which ones are just background. Reading Zanggan allows the article to go from the surface to the bottom.

If a certain Tibetan stem reaches the heavenly stem, or is triggered by the great fortune, its effect will be more obvious. Whether it is transparent or not, whether the root is deep or not, and whether it is combined and clashed will all affect the strength of the judgment.

Rooted abilities, resources, pressure or support are more likely to last in reality; without roots, they may be short-term, superficial, ideas or external stimuli. By translating root energy into a stable source, it will be easier for readers to understand.

A heavenly stem can be prominent in the written chart but unstable if it has no meaningful root in the branches. Hidden stems are not a secret second chart that automatically outranks the visible layer; they are part of the branch’s stored relationships and need seasonal and structural support. Check whether a root is in the month branch, whether it is repeated, whether a clash damages it, and whether the day master can use the resulting function. A rooted signal can still be excessive or blocked, while an unrooted signal can still become temporarily visible under a luck layer. The point is to distinguish availability, durability, and timing instead of treating “present” as equivalent to “effective.”

Imagine a fictional chart with an unrooted visible Output stem and a hidden Output stem in a branch supported by the season. The person may have ideas that are not consistently expressed at first, while a later period that opens the branch could make teaching, writing, or production more visible. Now add a clash that repeatedly interrupts that branch: the potential remains a hypothesis, but continuity becomes harder and the practical issue may be schedule, confidence, or access to a platform. The correct conclusion is not “hidden Output guarantees talent” or “unrooted Output is useless.” It is “the expression needs a supporting route; observe whether training, time, and opportunity make it repeatable.”

Verify a root through season, repetition, protection, and whether the day master can use the function. A hidden stem does not prove a secret event or personality trait. Keep the claim provisional until the relevant behavior or timing actually appears, and never use hidden evidence to assert another person’s motive.

Suppose a fictional chart has a visible Fire stem with no Fire root, while another chart has a hidden Fire stem rooted in the month branch but not revealed. The first may be easy to observe but less stable; the second may be less obvious but more persistent. Then check season, combinations, the day master, and timing before deciding which force can function. Rooted does not automatically mean strong, and visible does not automatically mean usable.
