What is the difference between approaching and away aspects?

The most intuitive feeling of approaching phase is that the two sets of functions are still approaching each other, so the tension, expectation, sense of formation, and sense of approach will be more obvious. Far away from the aspect, it is often like some kind of contact has occurred, and what follows is more about digestion, continuation, aftertaste, aftermath, or release of the aftermath. It's not who is more important, but they are at different time positions.

Once this layer of difference is added, the phase suddenly becomes dynamic.

Some configurations look the same, but approaching and moving away will make the life experience completely different. Approaching is more likely to correspond to "I am entering this thing" and "this force is getting closer"; moving away is more like "I have already encountered this thing, and it is still with me now." Especially in the natal chart, this can affect whether a theme feels more forward-looking or more like a familiar pattern that has long been established.

Approach/away is not a separate conclusion. It should be looked at together with which star it is, what aspect it is in, which area it falls in, and what stage the person involved is in. For example, a far away aspect may indicate long-term inertia left by some early experience; while an approaching aspect may make a certain life line become more and more obvious as you grow. It provides dynamic information rather than judgments of merit out of context.

What is really useful is not to memorize English terminology, but to understand why you always feel that you are "not done yet" or "already very familiar" with a certain topic. What's more important is to translate this sense of time so that people know that phase is not a static figure, but a structure with a sequence of occurrence and a hierarchy of aftermath.

Once the dynamics are written in, the phase understanding will immediately become much more three-dimensional.
