Whether astrology is accurate depends on what?

The accuracy of astrology depends on the accuracy of the birth data, whether the questions are clear, whether the techniques match, whether there is a chain of evidence in reading the chart, and whether the boundaries of reality are respected.

Accuracy first depends on birth data

The more accurate the date, place, and time of birth, the more reliable the Ascendant, House, Four Axis, Ascendant, and Time Techniques in the horoscope will be. If the time of birth is inaccurate, judgments in many specific areas will be downgraded.

It is still possible to look at some planetary signs and aspects without knowing the time of birth, but one cannot pretend that the house conclusions are equally reliable.

The clearer the question, the more accurate the reading will be.

“What’s my future like?” is too broad and difficult to be precise. A better question is: Why do I always feel insecure in relationships? Where does my current career stress come from? Is this year suitable for expansion or restructuring?

The more specific the problem, the easier it is to select the correct configuration and techniques, and the easier it is to verify.

The problem of matching techniques

To see the long-term personality and life structure, use the natal chart; to see the current stage, use transits, progresses, and returns; to see the interaction between two people, use the synastry chart; to see the annual theme, use the solar return.

Using the wrong technique will reduce accuracy. For example, only using the sun sign to view marriage, or only using Mercury retrograde to explain all relationship changes, will be distorted.

The chain of evidence is more important than a single sentence assertion

A reliable astrological reading will not just say "you are like this", but will explain where the evidence comes from: which planet, which house, what aspects, whether it is close, whether there are repeated themes.

If a conclusion is supported by multiple layers of the Big Three, houses, aspects, house rulers and transits, it is more reliable than a single configuration.

Realistic feedback must enter judgment

The same configuration may have high-level and low-level manifestations, and real-life experience will determine how it manifests. People with strong Saturn may be self-disciplined and mature, but may also suffer from long-term shame and repression; people with strong eighth house may have the ability for deep intimacy, or may fall into control and crisis.

Reading the tape requires real-life feedback to be involved in the calibration, rather than covering real life with terminology.

Sense of boundaries is also part of accuracy

The more responsible the interpretation, the more it will explain that it cannot replace medical treatment, law, investment, safety judgment and psychological treatment. Talking about astrology as a categorical imperative only reduces credibility.

Accuracy does not mean that the more certain the tone, the better, but that the evidence, scope and boundaries are clear.

How to judge the quality of the report when returning to the horoscope

When reading the report, check for chart evidence for each important conclusion: planets, houses, aspects, weights, and time triggers. Then look at whether it explains the uncertainties, such as unknown birth time, wide phase, and just a layer of reference.

Interpretations that can be verified on the market, can be reviewed in reality, and can give action boundaries are usually more reliable than exaggerated assertions.
