How do you read the aspects of the lord of your life?

The ascendant itself tells how life is initiated, and its aspects tell which planets shape this initiation. Different combinations, squares, oppositions, trines, and sexiles of the life-lord stars will bring different rhythms, pressures, and resources to the entrance of life.

Because of the high weight of the ascendant ruler, tight aspects involving it are usually more worthy of priority reading than ordinary wide aspects.

When the life ruler is in aspect with the Sun, it will connect the entrance to life and self-identity; when it is in aspect with the Moon, it will strongly affect security and emotional reactions; when it is in aspect with Mercury, the way of communication, learning, and thinking will affect the start of life; when it is in aspect with Venus, relationships, values, and aesthetics enter the main line; when it is in aspect with Mars, action, competition, and boundaries are more prominent.

Aspecting Jupiter, the ruler of the Ascendant, may bring expansion, belief, distance, and growth opportunities; Aspecting Saturn, bringing responsibilities, limitations, delays, and mature training; Aspecting Uranus, bringing freedom, mutation, and atypical paths; Aspecting Neptune, bringing ideals, confusion, inspiration, and boundary issues; Aspecting Pluto, bringing strong control, transformation, and power issues.

If the outer planets are closely aspected and the ruler of the ascendant is involved, the aspect will be distinctly personal.

Conjunctions are bindings, oppositions are pulls and mirroring relationships, squares are friction and push, trines are downstream resources, and sixes are available opportunities. Ascendant square Saturn and Ascendant trine Saturn both connect responsibilities, but the former is more like stress training and the latter is more like structural support.

When reading the aspect of the lord of the horoscope, the planet, type of aspect, placement and orb must be stated clearly at the same time.

Filter out the aspects involving the lord of the life in the aspect table and sort them by Orb. Priority is given to reading aspects within three degrees, connecting the sun and moon, angular houses, Saturn, Jupiter or outer planets.
