What does sun sign mean?

What does sun sign mean?

The sun sign looks at self-identity, vitality and development direction, but it is not a complete personality. To read the Sun, you must also look at the placement, aspects, weights and the main line of the entire chart.

Sun sign is not a complete personality

The sun sign is the most familiar astrological entrance to the public, but it is only a core point in a horoscope. The Sun looks at self-identity, vitality, will, sense of dignity and what a person wants to develop into, rather than telling the entire person's character at once.

So "I am a certain constellation" can only mean that the sun falls in that constellation. When actually reading a chart, one also has to look at the Moon, Ascendant, ascendant, personal planets, houses, aspects and overall weighting. The sun is important, but it's not the only answer.

The sun answers "Who am I going to be?"

The sun is more like the developing core of a person, rather than necessarily a state of innate proficiency. In youth, one may be more like the Moon, the Ascendant, or family expectations; as choices, setbacks, and experiences increase, the Sun theme becomes clearer.

For example, Sun Leos may not necessarily be confident and showy from the beginning. They may be learning how to be seen, how to create, and how to bear their own light. A Capricorn Sun may not necessarily be born successful, it may be learning structure, responsibility, and long-term building.

Sun in sign is closer to reality than sun sign

The sun sign indicates the style of expression, and the placement of the sun in the house indicates the area of life in which life force is more likely to be directed. When the Sun is in the tenth house, the sense of existence is often related to career, public status, and achievements; when the Sun is in the fourth house, the direction of life may be related to family foundation, inner security, and private space; when the Sun is in the ninth house, meaning, distance, learning, and beliefs will be more important.

If you only memorize your sun sign, it is easy to stop at character description. The placement of the Sun in the palace will bring the Sun back into the real world.

Solar phases change the behavior of the sun

The Sun and Saturn aspect may bring about self-expression with responsibility, pressure, patriarchal issues or fear of failure; the Sun and Jupiter aspect may amplify belief, self-confidence and expansion; the Sun and Neptune aspect may bring about idealism, sensitivity, blurred boundaries or the search for meaning; the Sun and Pluto aspect may bring about self-development with strong transformation, control and power issues.

People with the same sun sign will live very differently because of different phases.

Why You Might Not Look Like Your Sun Sign

There are usually several reasons why it is different from the sun sign: the moon or the ascendant is stronger; the ruler of the life is more weighted; the sun is in the twelfth house, the fourth house and other more private houses; Saturn suppresses the sun; an element, house or outer planet theme in the chart obviously overshadows the sun.

This is not because the sun sign is inaccurate, but because the sun does not dominate the entire chart alone. Accuracy in astrology comes from looking together, not forcing everyone to look like a sun sign.

How to verify when returning to the horoscope

After opening the horoscope, first look at which constellation and house the sun is in, and then look at whether the sun has a close aspect within three degrees. Then look at whether the Sun is in an angular house and whether it forms a strong connection with the lord of the life, the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter or the outer planets.

If the Sun is in an important house, closely aspected, and repeats the main line of the chart, it is very weighty; if the Sun is relatively quiet, do not cover the entire person with the Sun sign.
