What is the difference between natal chart, transit chart and synastry chart?

The natal chart, transit chart, and synastry chart are often mentioned together, but they are not the same thing. The natal chart answers "what is my original structure"; the transit chart answers "what themes are triggered now"; the synastry chart answers "how do I and another person affect each other".

If you mix the three, there will be many misjudgments. For example, using the synastry chart to explain a person's long-term personality, using the natal chart to directly determine the events of a certain month, and using Mercury retrograde to determine the entire direction of a relationship are not rigorous enough.

The natal chart is the chart at the time of birth and describes a person's long-term tendencies: security, expression, relationship patterns, career structure, pressure points, resources, and life projects.

The natal chart is not a command or a list of events. It is like a structure map, indicating which themes are more likely to reoccur, which abilities need to be developed, and which areas tend to become main threads.

The transit chart stacks the current planets onto the natal chart to see how the current sky triggers your natal structure. It is suitable for looking at the theme of stages, windows of pressure, windows of opportunity and a sense of time for certain changes in reality.

The fleeting time cannot be separated from the natal chart. Saturn's transit affects different people differently because it triggers different natal houses and natal planets.

Comparison charts usually include comparative charts and composite charts. A comparative chart stacks two people's natal charts together to see how the other person's planets trigger your natal points; a composite chart looks at the relationship itself as a structure.

The synastry is not about "who is good and who is bad", nor is it a simple matching of scores. It looks at attraction, security, communication, pressure, long-term structure and the ability to handle reality.

If you ask "Why am I always attracted to the same kind of people?", first look at your natal chart. If you ask "Why did you meet this kind of person again recently?", it depends on whether the fleeting time triggers the natal relationship configuration. If you ask "Why am I so strong with this person?", then look at the synastry chart.

The three types of disks are not substitutes for each other, but division of labor and cooperation. First determine the level of the problem, and then decide which disk to use.

When opening a tool, ask yourself: Am I looking at an individual's long-term pattern, the current time period, or two people interacting? The long-term pattern depends on the birth, the current stage depends on the fleeting time, and the interactive structure depends on the synastry.

If the problem involves three levels at the same time, look at it in the order of natal chart → transit chart → combined chart. First look at the personal structure, then look at the time trigger, and finally look at how the other party presses the button.
