Why doesn't your sun sign look like your own?

The sun describes core will, vitality, self-identity and the direction you want to live, but it is not a person's entire personality. Many people feel that they don't feel like themselves when reading their sun sign, because they use the sun as the entire horoscope.

A more accurate statement is: the sun is like "who do I want to be" in life, but the moon describes "how do I feel at ease", the ascendant describes "how do I enter the world", the ruler of the life describes "the way to start life", the house describes the field in which the sun develops, and the phase describes how the sun is affected.

The Moon is especially evident in times of stress, intimacy, family, and exhaustion. A person with a Leo sun and a Capricorn moon may not always be enthusiastic because his emotional system is more cautious, restrained, and responsible.

The ascent is the first entrance that others see. People with Pisces sun and Aries rising may be direct and quick-acting on the outside, but at their core they may still be sensitive, imaginative and empathic. You don't feel "like the Sun" sometimes, just the Moon and Ascendant being activated more often.

If a person's Sun is in the twelfth house, the Sun's expression will be more introverted, behind the scenes, and the need to be alone; if the Sun is in the Tenth House, it is more likely to be connected with career identity and public role. The same sun sign, different zodiac signs, and completely different life scenes.

The stars will also overwhelm the single sun. For example, if the Sun is in Libra, but there are multiple personal planets in Scorpio, the depth, control, trust, and intensity in the relationship may be more evident than in a Libra-style balance.

For people with the Sun conjunct Saturn, the Sun will bring about responsibility, restraint, pressure, and maturity issues; for people with the Sun square Neptune, their self-identity may be more vague, idealistic, or in need of artistic/spiritual outlets; for people with the Sun trine Jupiter, self-development is more likely to involve faith, expansion, and optimism.

So the sun sign cannot be read alone. What constellation the sun is in is only the first layer; who the sun forms aspects with will explain how it is shaped.

After opening the chart, look at the Sun sign first, and then immediately look at four things: Sun placement, Sun aspects, Moon sign, and Ascendant/Ascendant ruler. If you feel like the sun doesn't look like you, you can usually find the reason within these four levels.

If the report only explains the sun sign without going back to the placement, aspects and the Big Three, then it can only be regarded as an extensive reading and is not suitable for a complete astrological conclusion.
