What does square mean?

What does square mean?

The point of the square is not just discomfort, but that it creates constant friction, making the problem unable to be solved by avoiding it; it is like a bone pushing against you, forcing you to act, adjust, and grow, and it also forces you to expose your pinch points.

The core of the square aspect is not to be bad, but to "stuck you and force you to move."

Squares are famous because they are rarely comfortable to sit through. The two sets of functions work against each other like gears that are not meshing smoothly, so they constantly create friction, frustration, recurring problems, and pressure points that must be dealt with. Its strongest point is not the pain itself, but the persistence of the problem until you can no longer pretend not to see it.

So square aspects are often both annoying and very motivating for growth.

Square aspects often bring about a high level of motivation because you can't get through it if you don't deal with it.

Many people who are very capable of doing things, good at hard work, and very capable of adjustment often have obvious square signs in their charts. The reason is simple: if there is too little downstream, you have to find a way on your own. The square aspect makes people realize early that something is not going well, so they develop skills, efficiency, ambition, endurance, or obsessive problem-solving abilities. It gets tiring, but it does push the envelope.

Some abilities are developed from long-term friction.

What really matters is not whether the square is scary or not, but what kind of contradiction it forces you to resolve.

Mercury square Neptune and Saturn square Mars are not the same thing at all. The former may be more of a question of cognition and boundaries, while the latter may be more of a question of action and suppression, exertion and obstruction. Mature interpretation should not stop at "there is a square, so it will be difficult", but continue to ask: Where is the difficulty? Why repeat? What new abilities do you need to develop to get by?

The meaning of the square phase always lies in the contradictory content, not the label itself.

What exactly is your friction forcing you to learn?

What we really need is not to be told that we are under pressure again, but to see what this pressure is asking for. Why do I always get stuck on this topic? Why do I want to avoid coming back more and more? What should I practice? By writing out the frictions, capabilities, costs, and growth directions, people will know that they are not the only ones to suffer.

If the square sign is written well, people will be more willing to cooperate with their own difficulties.
