Complete explanation of the twelve houses

Houses are the most underestimated level of the horoscope. Many people know the zodiac signs by heart, but don't know where the configuration actually falls. The planets are like actors, the constellations are like the actors' expressions, and the houses are the stage: the same Venus in the fifth, seventh, or tenth house will behave completely differently.

Therefore, palace position is not a classification of personality, but a life scene. It tells you that a certain force is more likely to be triggered in the body, self-worth, learning expression, family, romantic creation, daily work, relationships, deep bonds, distant beliefs, career, community or subconscious.

The first house looks at the body, temperament, and the way of actively entering the world. It also forms the entrance to reading the chart together with the ascendant and the ascendant. The second house looks at sense of value, income methods, resource control and "what do I think I am worth". The third house looks at learning, expression, sibling neighborhoods, short distance travel, and information processing.

The 4th house looks at family roots, inner security, living environment, and what it looks like when one retreats into private space. The fifth house looks at love, creation, play, children, stage presence, and the joy of self-expression. The 6th house looks at work processes, health habits, service relationships, chore systems, and how one maintains daily functioning.

The 8th house looks at shared resources, debt, intimate bonds, crises, control, sex, psychological depths and relationships that cannot be easily severed. The 9th house looks at distant places, beliefs, higher education, publishing, law, cross-cultures, and meaning systems.

The tenth house governs career, social position, responsibilities, public image, and long-term achievements. The eleventh house is about community, friends, organizations, vision, long-term networks, and collective resources. The twelfth house looks at the subconscious, hidden things, isolation, behind the scenes, healing, a sense of loss of control, and also how a person faces things that he cannot fully control.

Palaces can also be divided into angle palaces, continuation palaces, and fruit palaces. The angular houses are the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses, which are most easily manifested into external events and the main line of life; the continuation houses are the second, fifth, eighth, and eleventh houses, which are related to resources, stability, accumulation, and desire maintenance; the fruit houses are the third, sixth, ninth, and twelfth houses, which are more like adjustment, learning, service, transformation, and inner processing.

If a planet is in an angular house, it is usually more visible; in a recumbent house, it is more about resources and continuity; in a fruit house, it may be more about learning, adapting, serving, or retreating within to operate. This is why the same planet in different houses can have very different life experiences.

When reading a house, you can't just look at whether there are any planets in the house. Each sign of the house cusp has a guardian star, and this guardian star is the ruler of the house. Where the house ruler falls indicates the area in which matters in this house will be dealt with.

For example, if the cusp of the seventh house is in Capricorn and the ruler of the seventh house, Saturn, is in the tenth house, relationship issues may be strongly related to career, identity, responsibility, and long-term commitment. Just because there are no planets in the seventh house does not mean that there are no relevant issues; the ruler of the house will still explain how this area works.

The empty palace is most commonly misunderstood. The absence of planets in a certain house does not mean that there is no work, no marriage, no money, or no career in this area. It only means that this area does not necessarily have a strong voice through the "planet in the house". Instead, it depends on the sign on the cusp, the house ruler, the aspect of the house ruler, and whether the transit is triggered.

What really matters is density of evidence. If a certain house has multiple planets, a strong ruler, and is repeatedly triggered by transits, this area will become an obvious main line. If it is just an empty palace, don't force it to be read as missing.

When asking about career, the 10th house is very important, but you cannot just look at the 10th house. The tenth house looks at social status and achievement direction; the sixth house looks at daily work patterns and sustainable execution; the second house looks at income and value exchange; the ruler of the life looks at the main driving force of life; the sun and Saturn look at responsibility, ambition and structure; Jupiter may show windows of opportunity.

If the 10th house is strong but the 6th house is weak, the person may be ambitious but has difficulty executing it stably; if the 6th house is strong but the 10th house is weak, the person may be good at processes and services, but may not necessarily actively pursue a public position. This is the depth of palace reading: it can break down "career" into identity, daily routine, income, ability and opportunity.

After opening the astrolabe, first look at the four corners: Ascendant, Descendant, Nadir, and Zenith. Then look at which houses have planets concentrated in them and which houses have prominent lords. Don't rush to judge the empty palace, first find out the ruler of the palace.

If you want to verify a subject, such as love, look at the fifth house, seventh house, eighth house, Venus, moon and related house lords; if you want to verify career, look at the second house, sixth house, tenth house, life lord, Sun, Saturn and Jupiter. The palace is not an isolated answer, but a map that puts the question back into the real world.
