How to read a square

Name the two needs that are competing. A square is not simply bad luck; it is two functions demanding expression at the same time in incompatible styles.
Check the modality. Cardinal squares fight through action, Fixed squares through stubbornness and control, Mutable squares through instability and scattered adaptation.
A square needs an outlet. Without a practical outlet it becomes irritation, avoidance, repetition, or conflict with other people.
