The World meaning

Completion — a cycle reaches wholeness, and the next begins.

The World is the final card of the Major Arcana. A figure dances within a laurel wreath surrounded by the four creatures of the fixed signs. The card signals the completion of a cycle, the integration of everything the journey taught, and the threshold of a new beginning. Where The Fool was unconditioned possibility, The World is seasoned wholeness.

Start with the spread position. The World in a challenge position is not read the same way as The World in an advice or outcome position.

Then check upright or reversed. Upright usually shows direct movement; reversed often shows blockage, excess, avoidance, delay, or internalization.
