What do the twelve houses of Ziwei represent?

The twelve palaces of Ziwei Dou Shu are not twelve isolated grids, but a problem map. When you ask about career, you can't just memorize the meaning of a certain star at first glance; when you ask about relationships, you can't just focus on a certain peach blossom star. The first step is to ask: In which house does this problem mainly fall? Is it talking about self-centeredness, intimate relationships, wealth resources, social roles, or inner satisfaction and long-term security?

The palace position must first determine the field, and then the stars will have their landing points. Without palaces, stars will become adjectives floating in the air; without stars, palaces will be just empty classifications. The function of the twelfth house is to put the abstract natal chart back into real life.

The life palace looks at a person's activation method, ego axis, and first reaction mode when facing the world. It is not the entire character, but it often determines the first tone of the tape reading. The body palace is more focused on acquired investment, physical practice and practical exertion: the place where a person really consumes, invests and establishes his identity can often be seen from the body palace.

The life palace is like "where do I start from", and the body palace is like "where do I put my strength later". Looking at the two together, we realize that this person not only has inner tendencies, but also has realistic choices.

The brothers' palace, the couple's palace, the children's palace, and the parents' palace are often called the six relatives' palaces, but they don't just look at "what others are like." The Palace of Couples not only looks at the partner, but also looks at your projections, expectations, relationship patterns and relationship pressure after entering an intimate relationship. The Palace of Parents not only looks at parents, but also looks at early authority, protective structures and experiences of being cared for. The Children's Palace is not just about children, but often extends to creation, continuation, works and caring relationships.

What these houses are really about is how you and a relationship shape each other. If you read the Liuqin Palace only as an external figure, you will miss your own pattern in the relationship.

The Palace of Wealth and Silk looks at how resources are obtained, flowed and used, which is not as simple as "whether you have money". The career palace looks at the social role, responsibility position, professional commitment and the way of being evaluated by the outside world, which does not mean directly reporting the professional name. Tianzhai Palace looks at residence, assets, family inheritance and long-term security, and it is not just about real estate.

When it comes to wealth, we often have to look at wealth, career, property, good fortune and friends together: where does the money come from, what ability can we rely on to inherit it, whether it can be stored stably, and whether it will be driven or consumed by the network of relationships.

The Palace of Fortune is not just about enjoying happiness, it depends on inner digestion ability, spiritual satisfaction, quality of rest and whether a person can truly feel stable. The Disease Palace is not used to replace medical diagnosis, but to look at how stress is carried by the body, how energy is consumed, and which patterns are likely to become physical and mental warning signs. The Migration Palace not only looks at going abroad and moving, it also looks at performance, external opportunities, market feedback and changing fields after leaving a familiar environment.

These three houses often explain "why people are tired despite good conditions", "why they don't show up at home, but they open up when they go out" and "why their career seems stable, but their body and mind have never been able to take it on."

The twelfth house cannot be used to determine one thing. When asking about relationships, you need to look at the Palace of Marriage, as well as the Palace of Life, Fortune, Land and House, Migration and the Four Modernizations; when asking about career, you need to look at the Palace of Life, Fortune, Officials, Friendship and Fortune; when asking about wealth, you need to look at the Palace of Wealth and Silk, as well as career inheritance, house preservation and friendship resources.

The depth of Ziwei Dou Shu does not lie in how well you memorize the twelve palaces, but in whether you can put a practical problem into the palace network and find out the main line, support and stuck points.
